We have a couple of kids who have SPD and experience a TON of access energy. If not given things for them to get their energyout they will often make poor choices, bang into objects and people, break things, and have little self-control. As time has gone on I have found that when we give them a sensory diet or heavy work activities before seatwork/periods of having to sit things turn out MUCH better.
